What I offer

Post-Separation
Family Repair

When a family separates, the attachment bonds between children and parents don't disappear. They fracture. This work is about repairing those fractures, carefully, slowly, and with real skill.

THE APPROACH

Not just the adults
in the room

Not just the adults in

I draw on Emotionally Focused Family Therapy principles which extend Emotionally Focused Therapy into the whole family system. Particularly powerful in post-separation contexts, where children may be caught between two parents' pain and struggling to feel safe with both.

"A child who is acting out is almost always a child who hasn't yet found a way to say: I'm not okay. And a child who has gone very quiet is often saying exactly the same thing. That's where we start."

THE PROCESS

What Working Together Looks Like

Who it's for

  • Families where separation has created emotional distance or rupture between parents and children.

  • Parents who want to repair their connection with a child who has pulled away.

  • Families where children are struggling in ways that feel connected to the separation.

Distance isn't the end of love. It's usually love that's lost its way back.
