Terms of Service

About These Terms 

These terms apply to counselling and related services provided by Sabrina Barbara Grabow, trading as The Relationship Room. By booking a session, you agree to these terms.

The Service I Provide 

I provide relationship and couples counselling, Discernment Counselling, family repair, and pre-marital counselling. Counselling is a supportive professional service; it is not a crisis or emergency service, and it is not a substitute for medical or psychiatric care. If you are in crisis or need urgent help, please contact your GP, call or text 1737 (free, anytime), or call 111 in an emergency.

Booking and the Free Call 

The initial 20-minute Zoom call is free and carries no obligation. It is a chance for us both to see whether the work is a good fit. Ongoing sessions are booked by agreement.

Fees and Payment 

All fees are listed on the Fees page and include GST. An invoice is issued before each session, and payment is required before the session date. Payment is by bank transfer.

Cancellations 

Life happens, and I understand that. I ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, may be charged in full, as that time has been held for you.

Confidentiality 

Your confidentiality is protected as set out in the Privacy Policy and within the NZAC Code of Ethics, subject to the limited legal exceptions described there.

Online Sessions 

Sessions are held via Zoom. You are responsible for finding a private, quiet space and a stable internet connection. If technology fails, we will make reasonable efforts to reconnect or reschedule.

Professional Standards 

I am a member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors and practise within its Code of Ethics. If you ever have a concern about your care, I welcome you to raise it with me directly.

Changes to These Terms 

I may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this website.
